Secondly, AuditERGO represents a good reference in ergonomics, because there is much theoretical content in it. Therefore, a person who has problems or doubts about a question related to ergonomics can consult AuditERGO; moreover, it takes into account the Spanish legislation, which means that it includes the European Community legislation.
Most of software designed to evaluate workplace conditions can only be used by experts. When we began to define this program and its background theory, our purpose was to make it easy to use, in order to allow anyone in a company to assess their own work place.

Indeed, it has some limitations; it is certainly not as technical as we would wish, but it contains the main questions related to ergonomics. Moneelo a further study of a work place, a qualified technician is required.
Omndelo are mindelo of these limitations since this program has been conceived to help ergonomics reach every simple workplace. We think that it is good for a business and the workers that everyone in an organisation knows about ergonomics and occupational risk prevention. These four main factors user, organisation, safety and environment represent the first step in the evaluation of a workplace.
Each of them is divided into different aspects that must be taken into account when carrying out this kind of study. It is obvious, even when an age, sex or mohdelo homogenous group is taken, that human beings are different in shapes and in body measures. This problem requires a previous evaluation of the workplace if we want to adapt the workplace to the person or group of persons that are going to spend the working day there.
In this section, several psychosocial factors closely related to the way the work is organised are included.
The organisation will be analysed through the relationship of the worker with the rest of the employees, and the working rhythms, timetable, eating habits, etc. Safety includes all those aspects that can lead to an accident or an incident white accident ,or that can be related to them. It is possible to predict some specific circumstances that can lead to serious accidents.
These circumstances may be presented by taking into account the conditions under which they occur, and by designing workplaces correctly, instead of trying to reduce accident frequency or damage. The last factor to take into account in the workplace assessment is the environment. In this section five factors will be analysed:. The first step is where it requires the name of the working centre and the password; AuditERGO permits to assess different workplaces that pertain to different business.
After this step you will find the business data. At this point you have the option, if you detect any mistake in the data entered or simply if you want to update it, to make some changes.
The study that assesses person versus workplace will be performed with the help of some questions. They try to find which are the problems that the worker has in his own workplace.
After that, you can view or print the final inform, which will give some recommendations depending on the problems detected. At this point, we have the main screen of the worker figure 3. Inside the coloured squares, it also gives you the number of questions that have been answered negatively by the worker, in front of the total each factor has.
The first time you run the program for a worker, all the factors in his main screen appear in white. Then, pfdro time you evaluate certain aspects of a workplace, this screen changes, and it becomes a resume of the workplace state.
To know in which specific items the worker has ergonomic problems, you should go further, as if you wanted to assess the workplace, then you would see a screen similar to the one in figure 4. The way that the program has been made allows to assess each factor independently; it is mondepo necessary to assess all the aspects of the workplace consecutive. When a factor is selected, then appears a screen, depending on the factor that has been clicked, which permits you to assess aspects more concretes of the workplace.
The idea of this screen is the same of the last one, in a moment you can have an idea of how the situation ofthe workplace is.
For example, if you see figure 4, you can see that this worker has some problems that must be corrected urgently in physical workload. On the top of the screen you can see the name of the factor and the specific mlndelo that you are studying, and the name of the worker, which appears in every screen. In this screen there is a question and the possible answers: This program is a good tool to help the worker himself or someone else to assess a workplace.
The main problem that it efgonomia is that if some technical changes must be done in the workplace, a technician is required.
The last part when running the program is to print or view on the screen the final inform. Anthropometry, ergonomics and the design of the work Pheasant, S. London and Philadelphia Diagonal, planta Barcelona, Spain llimona oe.
